Daniel is a professor and Associate Director of the School of Human Evolution and Social Change at Arizona State University.
He studies culture change and the relationship between culture and behavior. His two main research questions focus on how we stay healthy in diverse social environments and how humans cooperate. For the last 10 years, he has been conducting research on these questions in rural Bangladesh.
